Plan templates

Save a good plan's shape once, then start the next client from it instead of a blank page.

Short answer

Use "Save as template" in a plan's row menu to keep its shape with no identifying details, and "New from template" in any client's Plans list to start a fresh plan from it.

Templates are private to you, and clients never see them. Starting a plan from one needs Can edit plan or Full access.

No one’s personal details are carried across. Templates are private to you; clients never see or use them.

How do I save a plan as a template?

In a client’s Plans list, open a plan’s row menu (•••) and choose “Save as template”. It sits in the same menu as Rename and Duplicate. Name it something you’ll recognise, such as “Young family” or “Pre-retirement”, and it joins your private library.

How do I start a new plan from a template?

Use “New from template” (next to New plan) in any client’s Plans list. Pick a template, and its shape copies into a fresh plan for that client, with their own household members already filled in. Each template row’s ••• menu can rename or delete it.
