How does the 14-day trial work?
Creating an account starts a 14-day trial with full access to everything: every plan screen, the what-if sandbox, tracking, Cashflow, investment insights, and the money report. No card is needed to start it.
A quiet countdown appears once a few days are left, so the trial ending is never a surprise. See Getting started for how the account itself is created.
What changes when the trial ends?
If the trial runs out without a subscription, editing stops right away, but nothing you can see changes overnight:
- For about a week, everything stays visible, read-only. Real numbers keep showing; new edits don’t save.
- After that week, day-to-day tools ask you to subscribe first. Your plan screens, switching plans, tracking, Cashflow, investment insights and the money report lock. Home keeps showing your projection and freedom age throughout.
- The what-if sandbox and monthly check-in pause immediately, since both commit a change.
- Your profile always stays open, account details and subscribing included.
How do I subscribe?
A prompt to subscribe appears wherever it’s relevant: the countdown as your trial ends, or the moment you need it. Annual and monthly sit side by side, and a linked rate applies if you’re connected to an advisor. See perfingo.com/pricing for current prices.
The screen opens with What you get, a short list of what the subscription does for you, led by the part that matches where you were. See everything included opens the full list, whose one button is Choose a plan. During the trial the button reads Subscribe now, with a note that payment starts now.
Once your trial has ended, the same screen adds a You keep, free block: your plan, your freedom age and path chart on Home, your top-line numbers, your account and billing, and inviting your partner. Beside it, Subscribe to get back lists what comes back, including editing your plan, tracking, spending and statement import, investment insights, what-if, the monthly check-in, switching plans and the money report.
- On an iPad, subscribe right in the app, through the App Store, the same way as any other app.
- On the web, subscribe through a secure checkout page that opens in your browser and returns you to the app when done. If you have a promo code, you can enter it at that checkout.
Subscribing while your trial is running bills you right away. Checkout charges you the moment you subscribe, and unused trial days don’t carry over, so there’s no reason to wait for the countdown if you’re already sure.
Subscribed on one device gives the same full access on another. There’s no separate subscription per device.
How do I manage or cancel?
Where you manage or cancel depends on where you subscribed:
- Subscribed through the App Store? Manage or cancel from your device’s App Store subscription settings.
- Subscribed on the web? Your profile has a “Manage subscription” link that opens a secure billing portal, where you can update payment details or cancel.
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep full access for the period you’ve already paid for, and the plan itself is never deleted.
What if I plan with an advisor?
Accept a financial advisor’s invite, and your household gets six months of full access provided through your advisor: no trial countdown, nothing to subscribe to. A note confirms it when you accept, and as that window closes you’ll see the same quiet heads-up the trial gives. Subscribing from there keeps the advisor-linked rate rather than the standard price. See perfingo.com/pricing for the current rates, and Planning as a couple.
Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. Creating an account starts the trial with full access, and no card is needed.
Is my plan deleted if my trial ends?
No. Whatever you build during the trial keeps existing whether or not you subscribe. Only whether you can keep changing it depends on that.
What happens if I subscribe during the trial?
It bills you right away. Checkout charges you the moment you subscribe, and unused trial days don't carry over.
Where do I cancel?
It depends on where you subscribed. For the App Store, use your device's App Store subscription settings. On the web, use "Manage subscription" in your profile.
